The Persians
The
bee was looked to as a symbol of the feminine energy of nature
because whilst they
created a magickal elixir, known for its healing and preservation properties, they were also pollinating flowers, increasing
plant
fertility through the abundance of nuts, grains, fruits and vegetables
to nourish and nurture us.
The bee is
responsible for feeding Earth Mother's inhabitants like no other insect,
bird or animal in its history. There is much gratitude to be bestowed
upon the wondrous and humble bee.
Their sweet elixir of honey was used heavily in ritual throughout many prehistoric societies and this celebratory display of the sacred bee's wax and honey is reflected in the cave paintings that remain today.
